Anyone can open a wall. The skill is knowing exactly which one, and where along it. A leak locate is the diagnostic step that comes before any repair — we work out precisely where the water is escaping so the repair is small, targeted and right the first time.
It is what is written on the van. Leak Squad. It is the work Encore is known for across the DFW metro, and it is why other plumbers call us when they cannot find one.
Different leaks give themselves away differently. We use whichever tells us the truth fastest, and usually more than one to confirm it.
Pressurised water escaping makes a sound. Ground microphones and listening discs pick that up through concrete, tile and soil, and we follow it to the loudest point.
Before anything is opened we map where the pipe actually runs. Plans are often wrong and remodels move things — tracing tells us the real route and depth.
An in-line camera goes into drains and sewer lines and shows the break, the root intrusion or the belly on screen, with the position marked from the access point.
Isolate a section, put it under pressure and watch. It proves which line is failing and, just as usefully, proves which lines are fine so we stop looking at them.
